Recovery for Client Injured Due to Oversized Table Cloth
Adam J. Zayed secured a $105,000 settlement in connection with a slip and fall accident that occurred at a Joliet area banquet hall. On the day of the occurrence, our client was attending an event hosted by a Joliet community organizer at a local banquet hall owned by Joliet Junior College. Prior to the occurrence, the defendant’s employees set tablecloths on several tables at the event, including our client’s table. However, the tablecloth on our client’s table was grossly oversized. When our client stood up from her table, she tripped over the grossly oversized tablecloth and most unfortunately fell. Our client suffered a mild brain injury, as well as neck and back pain as a result of the fall.
Here’s what our client had to say: “Dear Adam, Thank you for representing me following my head injury that resulted from tripping on an oversized tablecloth at a municipally owned banquet hall. Other lawyers had declined my case. I appreciate the fact that you validated my case, listened and heard me as evidenced by the fact that you provided explanations of action steps of the process throughout the case that I could understand. I will always remember that you stood up for me and your kindness.”
